To be so honored to be even considered to own a BELROYD Corgi would have
been a dream beyond belief. But on that day in Penderyn, Wales, when the most
beautiful tri-colored baby boy was put in my arms and I was told he was mine, it
was only the beginning of a dream I didn't know I had.....

From the moment he bounded out of his crate after 15 hours of
plane trip plus driving home from the airport in a blizzard that
January day in 2005, Rhys has never had a bad day! His sunny
disposition brightens our lives and all those he meets. Even dog
shows are a "meet and greet" event for Rhys.
Judges remark about his "classic Corgi head", "best breed type in
the class", "a very handsome tricolor dog of medium size in
unseasonably good coat". These lovely characteristics and his
outgoing personality are being passed on to his offspring, too.
To date, Rhys has one Champion offspring (Ch. Ruaraigh Wisteria
First Light - "Tobi") and another (Birch Hill Christmas Spirit - "Spirit"),
bred and owned by Pati Wiedel, is pointed and on her way.
In addition to being handsome and convivial, it was discovered that
Rhys is actually smart! We decided to experiment with the new
sport of Rally Obedience, and with the tremendous training
assistance (for both of us!) of Pati Wiedel, Rhys and I finished his
Rally Novice title at the 2008 PWCCA National Specialty!!!
Rhys is the Light of my Life, my dream come true, the joy in each
and every day!
